Interested in joining Mirinesse Women’s Choir? We are always looking for highly experienced and skilled, classically-based sopranos and altos. Please listen to our recordings if you are considering auditioning. If you feel your vocal skills and music literacy are a good fit with Mirinesse’s style of music, we would love to hear you!

We have a unique and short season starting with a day long kick off rehearsal in October and two Monday evening rehearsals in November/December. Singers are expected to come prepared to rehearse the music when regular Monday rehearsals begin in January. There are typically 10 rehearsals followed by 4 regional performances. Rehearsals are at Faith Lutheran Church. All singers selected for an audition will be sent the choir’s schedule in advance and are asked to consider how Mirinesse would fit into their life. Even though we have a concentrated season, full participation – from singing to volunteering for various activities – is required of all singers.

Prospective singers will be auditioned by the Artistic Director. At the audition, you will be asked to do basic vocalization and range testing with piano accompaniment, present a song of your choice, and sight-read a song of the Artistic Director’s choice. Note that Mirinesse is a classical choir, so your solo song should reflect classical vocal technique.
